Everything I wrote in January

January featured two of my busiest weeks of the year: Burgundy en primeur week, when I tasted hundreds of samples from the (generally very good) 2017 vintage, and the MW seminar for stage two students in Odney, which I am in charge of. (The photograph above shows one of the blind tastings that students sit every morning.) This has meant a slightly reduced writing output - but there is plenty in store for the next few months.

I’ve also been telling people about my relocation to Singapore in late July this year, which was only finalised just before Christmas. So, lots going on! Here’s everything I wrote in January:

  • On JancisRobinson.com:

  • My Living France column examined Pol Roger champagne via its most famous fan, Winston Churchill

  • … and there were two posts here on my blog.
